From London removals to building Move Agent

Move Agent did not start in a boardroom. It grew out of years of hands-on work with removals and storage companies across London.

Behind Move Agent are Rosana and David from Digital Craft . For over a decade, Digital Craft has supported UK removals businesses, helping them build enquiry flows, design websites that convert, manage SEO, create storage and space calculators, and deal with the real operational challenges behind surveys, quoting, storage, and billing.

Over time, a clear pattern emerged. Many clients were working with removals software that felt years out of date, and some were still relying on pen and paper. Manual processes, disconnected tools, and repeated data entry quietly drained time, margins, and energy long before the impact became obvious.

There is also experience from the customer side. Between moving and working remotely across five different countries and countless moves within the UK, it became clear how easily missed details and assumptions turn a move into unnecessary stress.

About a year ago, while helping clients set up the standard removals software available in the UK, the deeper issue became impossible to ignore. The tools did not connect. Storage, surveys, quoting, and invoicing all lived in separate systems, just as UK accounting rules and Making Tax Digital requirements became stricter.

Rather than continuing to patch broken workflows, the decision was made to build something better for our clients.

Move Agent is a fully integrated removals and storage platform built for how UK movers run today. Enquiries, surveys, inventories, storage jobs, and invoicing all live in one system with MTD-friendly billing and direct sync to Sage and QuickBooks. The AI lead qualification agent screens and scores incoming enquiries, runs a quick pre-survey, and flags which jobs are worth your time—so you answer the right moves first instead of chasing tyre-kickers.

After many years living and working in London, a final move (for now) took place just before the pandemic. It was a move from a busy North London High Street in Hornsey to a quite historic road called Highgate in the market town of Beverley, East Riding of Yorkshire. From there, Move Agent continues to be built with one clear aim: helping removals and storage businesses run with clarity, control, and confidence.
